Petit Receives Independent Party Endorsement

Dr. Bill Petit, the Republican candidate for the General Assembly’s 22nd House District, has also been endorsed by the Independent Party of Connecticut.

The Independent Party has been established to provide all Connecticut residents an alternative political organization dedicated to ensuring open, honest government, with realistic objectives. The party provides assurance that it will strive to protect all of Connecticut’s assets, and improve and maintain them through a continuing, rigorous plan of action designed to enhance the economic well being of all Connecticut residents.

The Independent Party is committed to succeed in returning Connecticut to the esteemed position it once enjoyed through the proper usage of all its resources and economic potential.

Upon receiving the endorsement, Petit noted, "I firmly believe that if we are going to seriously tackle the issues facing Connecticut today, we must make structural changes to the way the state does business. I am grateful that the Independent Party has endorsed me and recognizes that if we are going to make these necessary changes in Hartford, it's time for a change in representation for our district as well."

Retired Teachers Endorse Dr. Petit

Dr. Bill Petit, the Republican candidate for the General Assembly’s 22nd District seat in the state House of Representatives, has been endorsed by the Association of Retired Teachers of Connecticut (ARTC).

“I am honored by this endorsement,” said Dr. Petit. “Our state’s teachers dedicate their lives to educating our children, and we need to honor their commitment to our children by advocating on their behalf when they retire from teaching.

“Thank you to the ARTC for both their support in this election and for the work they do on behalf of Connecticut’s teachers.”

ARTC is a non-profit organization of retired teachers that represent 16,000 members/affiliates and advocate for 33,000 CT retired teachers.

Plainville Fire Company Hot Air Balloon Festival

An historic community event, the Plainville Fire Company Hot Air Balloon Festival has been a hallmark community tradition for the town of Plainville for decades. Dr. Petit was thrilled to have the opportunity to set up a booth at the festival and honored to have the opportunity to speak directly to the members of the community that he would like to represent.
